As far as successful films go, 2016 has had one hell of a ride. From family-friendly movies such as Finding Dory clearing an eye watering $1 billion dollars all whilst still showing in cinemas, to R-Rated violence fests like Deadpool shocking the studios and breaking almost $800 million! This has definitely been the year for big money films. Check out some prime examples of the numbers this year has provided for the silver screen.

Set to feature in the forthcoming, much-anticipated film “Category 5,” which just-so-happens to be directed by the man behind the renowned mega-series “The Fast and Furious,” Rob Cohen, the Greenwich, Connecticut born beauty has also made a name for herself by being featured in a slew of films in the past.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was a badass when he played Conan the Barbarian, but he looks pretty damn small next to Wilt Chamberlain and Andre the Giant.

This film starring Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Connelly and Ewan McGregor looks interesting. It’s set in 1968 as a hardworking man, who’s been a staple in his quaint community for years, watches his seemingly perfect middle class life fall apart as his daughter’s new radical political affiliation threatens to destroy their family.
There are tons of “best of” lists out there, but this one from Cleveland.com about the 40 best TV seasons since 2000 is pretty good. They nailed it with some great selections like Season 4 of “The Wire” as the top season overall (sorry to spoil the suspense!). Fans will quibble about the best season from that amazing series, but Season 4 is certainly worthy of that honor.
They also focused on some great opening seasons from shows that eventually lost their way, like “Lost,” “House of Cards,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “True Blood.” They could have added season one of “Sons of Anarchy” to that list.
