You might be a redneck if you watch CMT

If this isn’t a match made in heaven, I don’t know what is: Recognizing that “Blue Collar TV” has about as much chance of being resurrected for the CW’s new fall schedule as, say, “Homeboys in Outer Space,” Jeff Foxworthy has signed on to host a variety show for Country Music Television (or CMT, in redneck-hipster lingo).

Dubbed “Foxworthy’s Big Night Out,” the show will feature stand-up comedy, humorous sketches, and — in deference to the host network, no doubt — live music performances.

Some of Foxworthy’s Blue-Collar cohorts will undoubtedly turn up onstage at some point during the 12 episodes ordered…but here’s hoping Larry the Cable Guy was too busy chasing the snow-cone lady in his crap movie to find time to shoot a segment for the show.

“Psst! Want to make our exes REALLY jealous?”

In the latest example of Hollywood being just a little too much like high school, two more celebrities have paired off in a hookup clearly designed to rankle their exes: Denise Richards has apparently taken a shine to Richie Sambora, at least when cameras are present.

As many will recall, Richards’s ex Charlie Sheen starred with Sambora’s ex Heather Locklear in TV’s “Spin City for two seasons. Locklear and Richards are also reportedly close friends–or at least were until this photo was taken.

So, if this ill-fated union actually lasts…will we get to call the new twosome “Richie Richards?”

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you: J.R. and Sue Ellen Ewing

…Or should I say, Vinnie Barbarino Vincent Vega Ewing and Jenny J Lo Fly Girl from the Block Ewing?

Any chance they can shoot Sue Ellen Ewing instead of J.R. this time around? Because, I mean, we already know who shot J.R. (Kristin), and who shot Vincent Vega (Bruce Willis)…but I might actually be persuaded to shell out the cash for a ticket to see this train-wreck-in-the-making if the producers could guarantee me that I would not leave the theatre without seeing Jennifer Lopez take a bullet between the eyes. I’m just saying.

Former ‘Lost’ stars stir incest controversy

And speaking of people who love their brothers just a little too much, former ‘Lost’ stars Maggie Grace and Ian Somerhalder, who played steamy stepsiblings Shannon and Boone, are quietly dating in real life, according to recent reports.

This continues a time-honored tradition of TV boys crushing on their TV step-relatives, one that includes the formidable Greg and Marsha Brady pairing, not to mention the infamous Greg and Carol Brady real-life date. Message boards are already abuzz with comments protesting the so-called “incestuous” relationship…which would be entirely accurate if a) Shannon and Boone were blood relatives rather than stepsiblings, and b) ‘Lost’ took place in the real world rather than a FICTIONAL TV UNIVERSE.

Here’s wishing Shannon and Ian… er, Maggie and Boone…that is to say, Maggie and Ian a relationship that is just as long and fulfilling as every other Hollywood romance.

“If I look like your five-year-old son, THEN will you love me?”

In the latest of Brad Pitt’s blatant attempts to endear himself to girlfriends by changing his appearance to resemble other people they love, Brad Pitt has gotten a mohawk to match that of his adopted son, Maddox Pitt-Jolie.

This comes on the heels of Pitt’s earlier experiment with peroxide, when his goal was to resemble Jolie’s creepily close brother, James Haven:

And, of course, back in the day, some might recall him stepping out on the town looking just like Gwyneth Paltrow’s true love, Gwyneth Paltrow:

Should Pitt’s Maddox Makeover fail to deliver the desired results, one can only hope that a caring friend or relative will step in before Pitt takes any actions that might cause him to resemble adopted Ethiopian daughter Zahara.
