Not to put down the greatness of YouTube and all that is has brought us so far, but if you’re looking for another cool video site to check out, then by all means head over to Stage 6. You’ll have to sign up for a free account and download the site’s divx player, but once you do, you can check out all sorts of video there. Among the bunch, the infamous flick Salo in its entirety. Also rare live music clips that YouTube doesn’t seem to have and lots, lots more. Definitely worth a good look.
Those looking for entertainment during the lean months of summer TV might want to check out the HBO Voyeur Project:

Whether you choose to experience it online or on HBO on Demand, the HBO Voyeur Project illustrates the underlying truth that sometimes the most revealing stories are the ones you weren’t meant to see.
You can see the project at HBO.com and HBO On Demand. Basically, it’s a collection of silent films (with pretty good music) that capture the intertwining stories of everyday life. In one area, you can watch eight Manhattan apartments all at once, or zoom in on one or two apartments to see the goings on. To catch all the action, you might want to watch the whole film more than once. (It only runs five minutes, so it’s not a big deal.) There are also a few other apartments around the city that all have fairly creepy storylines. The other apartments appear to be online only; I couldn’t find them in HBO On Demand.
HBO has always been on the forefront of creative television, and this project is no different. It’s an interesting experiment, to say the least.
OK, it took me a while to come around to it (and with some insistence from my ex), but “Psych” on the USA Network has fast become one of my fave shows on TV. Enough so that I went out and bought the first season DVD set and ordered a t-shirt on the official site. However, the coolest thing may just be the mash-ups you can create over there as well. Here’s the third one I’ve created, entitled “Psych-O-Nuts.” It took a couple tries to get a good narrative running through, but check it out and if you dig the show as well, make one of your own and share it, too. Groovy, baby.
