In all seriousness, I *am* kind of curious about this…not as a “Trek” fan, but as an obscure movie fan. And the price is actually quite reasonable. I’m just wondering if the Shat-man has as much input in the movie selection as the site would have you believe…
Apparently, the commentaries on Season 1 and 2 of NewsRadio were such a major selling point – ironic, given that they only ended up on there because the producers of the show were so adamant; originally, the show was going to come out as a bare-bones, episodes-only set – that Season 3 will be chock full of them as well. The release date, according to TVShowsOnDVD.com, is 2/8/06.
1. A third “Men In Black” movie is under discussion.
2. Rod Stewart will appear in the next “Austin Powers” movie, possibly as Austin’s brother.
3. The next “Star Trek” film will take place in the so-called “Mirror Universe” and will include three past “Trek” captains: Jonathan Archer (played by Scott Bakula), Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), and, yes, James T. Kirk (William Shatner).
4. The title of the fourth “Indiana Jones” film will be “Opal of the Mer-Man Prince.”
5. George Lucas reportedly “has a great idea to film a prequel to all 6 films and center it around a young Yoda and his battle against the Sith and his training of the Jedi.”

Sure, what the hell, why not.
I’m not even going to claim that I’ve been watching this show since it first premiered on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim – Hell, my wife actually caught an episode before I did, then raved about a segment where they did “The Real World” with superhero action figures – but I’m damned sure going to be buying this set when it comes out, if only to keep Seth Green from making “Without A Paddle 2: Up The Creek Again.”
How else to explain his appearance in the straight-to-DVD sequel, “American Pie presents: Band Camp”? I didn’t even know anything about this coming out until there was a sticker on the front of the “40 Year Old Virgin” DVD hyping it, then there’s a preview for the flick on the disc as well. I’ve never heard of Tad Hilgenbrink, but he plays Stifler’s brother, who – if I’ve got the gist of it – is basically sentenced to attend band camp. Presumably, shenanigans and wacky hijinks ensue. You can’t argue Hilgenbrink’s resemblance to Seann William Scott, but, c’mon, does anyone really believe this is going to be any good…? I mean, fer chrissakes, if “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo” can score theatrical release, how awful must this be to go straight to video? I guess the studio figures it’s the straight-to-video crowd who’ll be most likely to watch it, anyway – the phrase “it might be worth a rental” is a staple of most movie-related conversations nowadays – but I question if it’ll be worth even that…
