So my wife and I are watching “Scrubs,” and right before the opening credits, they showed Turk and Carla dealing with trying to get pregnant. Fair enough. A few minutes later, the credits roll, and they cut to commercial. Right before returning to the show, they show a commercial for NEXT week’s “Scrubs,” which proclaims, “Finally, Turk and Carla are having a baby!!!”
Okay, I know, it’s a sitcom, you can see these developments coming up Main Street. But, still, to show the commercial for next week’s episode immediately before playing THIS week’s episode, and to give away a major plot development…? That’s shady…
…accept no substitutes.
According to the fine folks at TVShowsOnDVD.com, yet another kids series that I remember fondly from my youth will be making its DVD debut this summer, courtesy of Image Entertainment: “Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp.”
Guaranteed, this will be another case where my fond memories of the show will in no way live up to the reality of the show, but I’m still psyched.
Next question: will Bravo’s new “Brilliant But Cancelled” DVD series – which is ramping up with “EZ Streets” – ever release the other great talking monkey show, “Mr. Smith”…? (Answer: probably not.)
