…”What do you mean we’re not premiering ’til January?!?!?

After suffering the indignity of being the last of ABC’s new sitcoms to debut, the network’s best hope for the comedy market – “The Knights of Prosperity” (formerly known as “Let’s Rob Mick Jagger”) – has had its debut date of October 17th scratched. Instead, it’s now been officially put on hold until after the holiday season, with imprecise discussions of a premiere sometime in January. BOOOOOOOOOOO! This was my favorite comedy of the 2006 fall season, and I’m PISSED that it’s taking it so long to emerge…mostly because ABC decided to put such a huge promotional push behind the excruciating “Ugly Betty” that “The Knights of Prosperity” was going to be lost in the shuffle.

Okay, well, at least the good news is that, by January, the show it was supposed to be paired with – Ted Danson’s “Help Me Help You” – will surely have been cancelled; it was a terrible teaming of comedy sensibilities, and both shows probably would’ve ended up flopping as a result. I just wonder what they’re gonna find to put with it…
