Things have changed quite a bit in Hollywood. There was a time when a film like “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” would have a chance to do some decent numbers at the box office with Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell in the starring roles. I’m not saying it would be a hit, but maybe it wouldn’t be a complete bomb.
Even with the horrible and boring trailer, Margot’s star power alone should have helped to open this film. Yeah, it probably would have been a loser in years past as well, but would it have been this bad?
Margot did her best trying to open this film, hitting the red carpet in her “naked dress” which created a huge buzz. But that wasn’t enough, and this box office performance really calls into question how much juice Margot really has to open a film.
