We, the people of the sophisticated, intelligent and caring society of the world would like to think that humans have evolved over the centuries. But sadly, it seems a chunk of the populace doesn’t even want to move an inch when it comes to racial slurs. Yes, Dog the Bounty Hunter is the latest celeb to have to publicly apologize for using the “n-word.” A clip of Dog having a phone coversation with his son and berating his girlfriend with said word was recently posted online, and like such things do these days became infamous overnight. What have we learned from this? That Dog is as much a greasy reprobate as he looks/once actually “was”? Perhaps. But then, we never really completely escape our pasts, do we?
