Well, that depends. But in the case of “Medium,” where one of the show’s executive producers is none other than Kelsey Grammer, quite a few people are interested.

Grammer will be appearing on the May 8th episode of the show…playing a guy who claims to be no less than the Angel of Death himself…and he and the show’s star, Patricia Arquette, held a press conference to celebrate the occasion. What’s arguably even cooler, however, is that Bullz-Eye got to participate…!
Dig this:
Moderator: Our next question is from William Harris, from Bullz-Eye.com.
William Harris: Hey, Kelsey, how’re you doing?
Kelsey Grammer: Hi, William, how are you?
WH: Pretty good.
KG: Good!
WH: So what finally inspired you to make the jump from executive producer to guest star? Was it the script, or had you always been chomping at the bit to make an appearance…?
Patricia Arquette: (Laughing) Yep, and yep!
KG: Well, it’s always about ratings; you know that! (Laughs) But, unfortunately, they’re promoting it so much before I actually get on the air that I think it might actually backfire! Because I’ve had calls from several friends now, going, “Okay, what is this? I keep hearing you’re going to be on ‘Medium,’ and then you’re not there. And it’s starting to piss me off.” But, I mean, it’s always up to them, but I think the role was one that I certainly found interesting enough to say, ‘Okay, what the heck. Let’s do this.” Because you have to be very careful; you can’t stunt-cast to the point where it becomes absurd. So it’s a good role, a challenging idea, a wonderful show, a great cast. I always thought I would put my toe in the pool, but it’s just a matter of choosing the right time, and I think this is probably appropriate.
WH: Playing a villain, did you have an opportunity to bring your experiences as Sideshow Bob (the character Grammer guest-voices on “The Simpsons”) to the table?
KG: (adopting his Sideshow Bob voice) Well, you may find a galemontia or two inspired by Sideshow Bob within the performance… (Starts laughing) I’m not sure. But the truth is… (lowers his voice) …he’s not really a villain.
WH: (Knowingly) He’s just misunderstood.
KG: Yes. EXACTLY.
WH: And, Patricia, with Kelsey having done “X-Men 3,” have you had time to work on any movie roles yourself?
PA: (Sounding surprised) Me…?
WH: Yes, like, during a hiatus from the show…?
PA: Actually, I did. I stole away and did a few days’ work last year on a movie called “Fast Food Nation,” which actually just got accepted into Cannes in the main competition over there. So, yeah, I had a little bit of time, luckily.
And, uh, that’s all the time I had. Most people only got one or two questions…although some guy from SciFi.com snuck into line a second time, the weasel; although I felt a little guilty about it, I have to admit that I snickered when, during his second time at bat, he admitted that someone had stolen his question, leaving him to scramble for a replacement. I wonder if it was me…
Oh, who am I kidding? I don’t care. All I know is that I got Kelsey Grammer to do Sideshow Bob. That made my freakin’ MONTH, dude…
