The trailer for the film adaptation of “The Da Vinci Code” was finally released today, and though a fan of Dan Brown’s novel, I’m still not exactly sure how the story will fare on the big screen. I would trust the film property in a select few directors’ hands, and luckily, Ron Howard is one of them. Still, the decision to cast Tom Hanks in the lead role was a dangerous one, considering that Disney employed Cool Hand Nic Cage to play pretty much the same role in 2004’s “National Treasure.”
