I have to begin by saying that out of all of the major comic book heroes (i.e. Spider-Man, Batman, etc.), Superman is by far my least favorite. I grew up watching the old Superman films and hated just about every one. Now, director Bryan Singer – perhaps best known as the man who brought the X-Men to the big screen – is reinventing the “Superman” franchise. The first teaser trailer for the film was finally released today (and will undoubtedly show up attached to “Harry Potter” this weekend), and despite the lack of any major footage, I have to say I’m truly excited about this one. Don’t expect anything more than about six or seven short snippets from the film, but that final shot of Superman hovering out in space is money.
