Watching movies at home is nice and easy, and cheap if you look at satellite deals via this link, but nothing beats watching an action movie on the big screen. Every year, the movie release schedule contains a selection of blockbusters, slow burners, long-awaited sequels, and almost certainly turkeys of the highest order. Until these movies hit the screen, nobody knows which category they are going to fall into. 2017 is no different than any other year, so we have plenty of great movies to look forward to.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Action movies feature highly on the 2017 movie release schedule, but Transformers: The Last Knight is hotly anticipated. Michael Bay has already told us that the first three films were a trilogy, so this next offering is the start of a new story arc, with a redesigned Megatron in the role of villain. Excited? Well you should be!

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

Here we have another chapter in a successful franchise, but if you loved the original Resident Evil, you will want to tune in to see what new fate befalls our plucky heroine, Alice, as she fights the rampant undead hordes controlled by the shady Umbrella Corporation.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

The Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise lost steam with the World’s End movie, but this latest release finds our old friend, Captain Jack Sparrow down on his luck and once again under threat from his arch nemesis, Captain Salazar. The only problem is, to vanquish the ghost pirates he needs to find an ancient artifact.

Star Wars: Episode VIII

The latest adventure in the Star Wars epic sees Rey continuing her epic journey with Luke, Finn and Poe. Will she make it – head to the cinema in December 2017 to find out!

Justice League

Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, joins forces with Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman, and a league of heroes (Cyborg, The Flash and Aquaman), to fight evil and save humanity from a terrible fate. If the plot sounds familiar, yes, you really have heard it all before, but this time, the action promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming continues the adventure of the man who identifies closely with an eight-legged creature. In this incarnation, a young Peter Parker explores his role as one of Marvel Comic’s best-loved superheroes.

Beauty and the Beast

Younger viewers will love the new Beauty and the Beast movie. It is a faithful retelling of the wonderful Disney tale of Belle and her adventures inside the beast’s castle. You can look forward to catching up with the enchanted inhabitants of the beast’s castle and following Belle on her journey as she learns that true beauty lies within.

Other top movie releases scheduled for 2017 include Thor: Ragnarok staring Chris Hemsworth and Benedict Cumberbatch, Wonder Woman with Chris Pine and Robin Wright, and Dunkirk, with Cillian Murphy of Peaky Blinders fame.
