Entourage 6.10 – Berried Alive
Consider this just another case of art imitating life, but I couldn’t help but think about T.R. Knight’s recent decision to leave “Grey’s Anatomy” during tonight’s episode. Drama has been put through the wringer ever since his altercation with Dan Coakley, and now that his character on “Five Towns” looks to be headed for Comaville, his screen time is sure to be reduced. Just like Knight, Drama is more concerned with the work than the paycheck, and when he learns that the producer of the new “Melrose Place” has him in mind for a role, he goes to Lloyd for help getting out of his contract.
What Drama doesn’t realize is that Lloyd has just left Ari for Adam Davies. Ari, meanwhile, has to find out about the betrayal from Vince, and in an attempt to spite Lloyd, he personally goes to Coakley to help out Drama and entice him to stay at the agency as one of his clients. It works at first, but when Lloyd tries to win back his only client with, I must admit, a damn good speech, Drama discovers where his best bet lies. Ari isn’t even mad about it since he wouldn’t have the time to properly invest in Drama’s career anyway, but it will be curious to see how far they take this new rivalry. I can’t imagine Lloyd will be gone for too long, but they’ll definitely drag it out until either the season finale or next season’s premiere. Drama, on the other hand, is taking a big risk by leaving “Five Towns,” and it would seem almost too easy if he did get the gig. Then again, maybe he’ll be able to win over the network by proving that he really can act – at least, when compared to the standards of other likeminded shows on The CW.

While Drama ponders a career move, Eric decides to confront Ashley about why she’s been giving him the cold shoulder. As expected, it all boils down to her trust issues. When Eric laughs off the most recent incident involving a misunderstanding about Vince’s alias (check out last week’s post if you’re confused), she decides that if they’re going to stay together, he has to promise that he won’t screw Brittany the Assistant and give her the freedom to read his e-mails. Eric agrees at first, but after conferring with a few sources and realizing that Ashley may be crazy, he decides to break it off. As it turns out, Ashley is a little nuts (as evidenced by her mini breakdown in the middle of a restaurant), and it’s probably smart for Eric to get rid of her before things get worse. It’s a shame, because Alexis Dziena is pretty easy on the eyes. Then again, Kate Mara isn’t too bad herself, and we all know Sloan will be back before long.
Turtle’s current predicament might seem just as cut and dry, but he’s certainly making it more complicated than it needs to be. When Jamie Lynn admits to being jealous about his new admirer (which, for the record, I find totally ridiculous), Turtle begins second guessing his ability to stay loyal. While I understand where Turtle’s coming from in that this is the first time he’s ever had one woman interested in him, let alone two, it’s absurd to think that any sorority girl would trump Jamie Lynn Sigler. For starters, she’s obviously only interested in him because he’s famous (Best line of the night: “Is that Vincent Chase? Who are you?”), and second, he’s already dating Meadow freaking Soprano. Granted, her new job offer is certainly going to throw a wrench into their relationship, but if given the choice between Jamie Lynn and the new girl, is there even any doubt as to who he should pick? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

“because Alexis Dziena is pretty easy on the eyes” ?
I don’t know about that, but this girl looks like she’s 12 AND she’s got an annoying voice. Everytime I see her and Eric, I feel like he looks like a letch, since she looks like she’s a pre-teen. She has serious weight issues (she’s gotten thinner and sicklier looking with every episode)) and she needs to address that. I’m actually looking forward to her getting booted from the show.
Tom’s observations may be a bit harsh, but I do agree that she’s not a very good actress, and her voice is grating at times. Between her and Sloan there’s no comparison! Sloan all the way!
To be honest i am just glad that it is looking like all the boys may be heading for singledom. The best episodes are when the guys are on the quest for girls (especially Turtle). Lets hope that some more great episodes arise from the guys trying to chase some skirt. But yeah bring back Sloan, she is really really hot
I like Kate Mara than the weird toothed wonder known as Alexis Dziena.
Sloan vs. Ashley? Not even close. I will say that the sorority girl that’s after Turtle is smoking hot. She reminds me of Megan Fox. I love Meadow Soprano and all, but I think Turtle’s admirer may be even hotter.
I’m digging the Ari vs. Lloyd bit and would love to see it last, with a longstanding rivalry between the two that adds a little variety to Ari’s storyline.
I agree that Ashley could use some thickness to help her figure out as well as add a few years so that voice can get a little deeper (less annoying). I disagree that she’s a bad actress though. She seems to have the worrisome, obsessive girlfriend part down pat unless she’s really just a nag in real life. I love Sloan even though her role is somewhat of a controlling, bourgeoisie type of chick. She’s enough of a banger to put up with it for a while. And I think the Brittany chick is all-the-way live! She’s sexy, career-oriented and she even said the right thing when she was trying to get Eric to come out…something to the effect of “My friends are hot! You’re a little down, come on out and hang with us.”
I think the Lloyd vs. Ari thing should drag on for a while too. Lloyd has paid his dues and deserves to be an agent even though Adam Davies is a snake. The look on Lloyd’s face after the quick conversation with Davies on his first day seems to indicate that Lloyd’s just there for a cup of coffee. I guess we’ll see…not a bad episode at all.
I love the new Lloyd/Ari dynamic and I hope we get to see more of Lloyd the Agent. Tonight’s battle for Johnny Drama was great.
In general, actresses (and actors, for that matter) are notorious for having major self-esteem issues, so I can totally see Sigler being jealous, and I agree with Jamey that from a pure hotness standpoint, the sorority girl has her beat.
The “Who are you?” line was great. Turtle’s response (“I’m Turtle.”) was great too.
It was one of the better episodes. I’ll take Sloan over Ashley, but she’s still hot and I thought the actress did fine with the character.
Yup, I agree that the sorority girl is smokin’!
Okay, I think Sloan is one fine piece of flesh, but come on, aren’t we tired of her character? I was stunned and happy when E left her at the bar. Its time for him to move on and get some new tail. We all knew Ashley wasn’t going to work out. They looked like midgets doing a reality show. Two small people don’t work, lol.
So what about Terrance surprising Ari at the office?? That’s something I didn’t see coming. I cant quit grasp what he could want. Unless he’s there to pay Ari his money, nah, isn’t going to happen. It kind of brings me back to the Sloan deal. Is Sloan going to use Terrance to get E back? Is she that shallow? I don’t think so, but im excited to find out. It would surprise me if she gets Terrance involved with Ari just to get E, or maybe revenge? Time will tell.
Drama, oh Drama. Leaving 5 Towns for a shot on Melrose Place. He worked what he has, and got Ari to get him out of his contract. Kudos.. Im impressed Ari was able to put his true feelings aside about Drama and help him out. Well, that’s what Ari does, whatever it takes for revenge. It seemed to have worked, Lloyd almost lost Drama. Stand up of Ari to let him walk. Will Melrose work out, I doubt it. I got a strange feeling about the producer, there’s something going on there.
Last, but not least, Turtle. I love him, and I think Jaime is a good catch. Think about it, he’s in school, in southern Cal, and he lives with Vinny Chase. He is going to get more tail then anyone could imagine. I knew when he started school; Jaime was on her way out. Why should he stay? Not for money, he’s got Vince. Looks, lets face it, younger southern Cal girls take the cake.
Not enough Vinny in this episode kinda disappointed. Its top notch how the writers are bringing in storylines for all the characters, but come on, lets not forget the star. I gotta say, this is one of the best episodes of the season in my opinion.
Terrance came to Ari’s office? I totally missed that. When did it happen in the episode?
It was actually in the preview for next weeks episode. Ari walks in his office and Terrance is sitting in his couch. Ari about shi*s his pants. Its killing me not knowing.
Who plays the sorority girl? anyone know that smokin hot chicks real name?
man, Jimm, Vince is not the star… lol, the show is called ENTOURAGE, hence about the entourage, vince is a bad actor and its not centered around him and wont be. All wee need vince to do is keep fucking bitchs and smoken weed. its what he does best.
