While I’m psyched that so many outlets have opted - either directly or indirectly - to pick up my interview with “Journeyman” creator Kevin Falls… * Ain’t It Cool News …I’m a little disappointed that several of them - and I’m not naming names here - have avoided mention of Falls’ repeated comments that the series can still be saved and, instead, have opted to steer toward the suggestion that Episode 12 will be the last episode…if, in fact, it even airs. Watch tonight at 10 PM, immediately after “Heroes,” and for the next two Mondays in the same timeslot. The show ain’t gone yet, but to use unabashed and blatant blackmail, if you don’t watch, it will be soon. Well, I’ll name myself as one of those bloggers (not included in your list, BTW) who take a dim view of the series’ future. Having followed the biz of TV for about 20 years now, I don’t need 20/20 vision to see NBC washing its corpoate hands of the show. As I wrote on the Potato Report (did I mention that it wasn’t included in your list?):
“Tonight’s prime time promo hyped “Chuck” and “Heroes” yet there wasn’t a word about “J’man.” Not even your basic “…and an all new ‘Journeyman.’” Nuttin’. ”
When the network stops giving a show even a simple promo shout-out, the writing’s not only on the wall, it’s carved in stone: Game Over.
Rich, I am absolutely guilty as charged, and as you can see above, I have duly added The Potato Report to the middle of the list. (I didn’t want it to just looked tacked on, y’know.)
Hey, I told people to watch the series now and not wait for it to come out on DVD so they didn’t discover it before it was too late to save it. (Firefly, anyone?)
But I appreciate the link.

Directly or indirectly linking to your piece? Why Will, who on earth could you be referring to?
To be fair, the person or persons to whom you think I’m referring are not actually included on the list.
Oh, what the hell, let’s out them: it’s USA Today’s Pop Candy, to whom I sent the link personally, only to have them opt to use the SciFi.com link instead, thereby inspiring the conspiracy theorists on the Bullz-Eye staff to suspect that they’ve decided we’re not cool enough to be linked to them.
True or false? You decide.
Apologies. I am one of the guilty bloggers mentioned above. I read the piece on Sci-fi.com and obviously didn’t research your interview well enough.
Thanks for the measured approach and the lack of hate mail! Much appreciated!
