Three fantastic clips from “Mazes and Monsters”
“Mazes and Monsters” is a movie from 1982 starring Tom Hanks. According to the Internet Movie Database, the synopsis is as follows:
Bound together by a desire to play “Mazes and Monsters,” Robbie (Tom Hanks) and his four college classmates decide to move the board game into the local legendary cavern. Robbie starts having visions for real, and the line between reality and fantasy fuse into a harrowing adventure.
What follows now are three great clips from the flick. Oh, Tom. I wish you still made movies like this.

That’s high quality, right there.
Awesome. I really dug that wacky sax in the score.
Very nice! And was that Chris “My Bodyguard” Makepeace I saw in the elevator scene?!
I just enjoy the way the scene of the kids running past the “closed” sign on the escalator is used TWICE (in the third clip there)…once before they even get up to that level! Harrrr!
Man, it’s hard to believe there was once a day when parents were concerned enough about the ramifications of their kids playing “Dungeons and Dragons” to make a TV movie out of it…
